Here at Ulster, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to access our technologies, evaluate their potential and take them to market. The steps involved are as follows:
1 - Evaluation
Browse the technologies on offer. Click on the download icon to obtain fuller details of any technology available for evaluation. When a download icon is deactivated it means that particular technology is presently being evaluated.
2 - Preview
In addition to non-confidential details about the technology, the download folder will contain the evaluation licence and a form which asks for some contact and background details. Fill out this form first, and email or post it to the OpenUlster team.
3 - Contact
A member of the OpenUlster team will contact you to discuss the technology and execute an exclusive fixed-term evaluation license agreement. The charge for this agreement will be £1.
4 - Delivery
On completion of the evaluation licence, you will be provided with everything necessary to evaluate the technology. This could include the patent application, market research, supporting data and any prototype or software that is available. This material will be confidential and the evaluation licence will require you to respect that confidentiality.
5 - Review
At the end of the evaluation period – normally 3 months – the OpenUlster team will meet with you to discuss your aspirations for the commercialisation of the technology. Together, we will review your area of market application and projections, the development plans and capital requirements.
6 - Repeat
